| Started in 1958, every year this puja is organised by the local residents of Hauz Khas and adjoining areas. |
| Apart from the traditional approach, the major attraction of this puja is the distribution of bhog on all four days of the Puja. |
| On the cultural front, the greatest attraction is the dance dramas produced by an in-house group named Oikotan. This group has been performing for more than ten years, some of its memorable achievements being Mahishasur Mardini, Ganga and Dakshayagna. |
| Dance drama troupes, vocal artistes from Calcutta — including the famous folk singer Shri Utpalendu Chowdhury — will perform at the evening recitals. The celebration also includes participation of local dance troupes, chorus groups, and playwrights — even from the puja committee itself. |
| The puja is quite famous among the nearby localities including Green park, Malviya Nagar, Panchsheel Park, Khel Gaon, Yusuf Sarai and R.K. Puram. |
