| This is one of the top five Durga Pujas of Calcutta. Started in 1948, this year they are celebrating their Golden Jubilee. |
| This puja was started under the patronage of Late Shri Ajit Kumar Dey. In the following years, the committee was presided by Dr Abhoypada Chattopadhya, Shri Bhupendra Kumar Chowdhury, Shri Promod Ghosal and many others. |
| A major attraction of this puja is its scintillating lighting -- spreading all around the famous College Square swimming pool. The interior decoration of the mandap is also splendid. |
| The puja committee also donates a significant portion of their surplus funds to Bharat Sevasram Sangha, Spastic Society of India, Blind Schools, Cancer Hospitals, and other social organisations. |
