Started in 1962, today this is among the top 10 famous Pujas of Calcutta. Every year it is inaugurated by the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal.
In keeping with the tradition of social work as a part of the Pujas, they have donated Rs 50,000 to Dhakuria Ramkrishna Hospital and a pace-maker worth Rs 45,000 to a heart patient last year.
Babubagan puts up glamarous mandaps with high-quality decorations. The idols sport a conventional style.
Babubagan has won the prestigious "Asian Paints Sharad Samman Award" twice for their splendid mandaps.
